Psyonix Bringing Car Football Game Rocket League To PS4 In Spring 2015

Psyonix has announced a sequel to PS3 title ‘Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars’ in the form of the much easier to remember Rocket League. It’s basically football but with cars using their skills to get past opponents and putting the rather large ball into the back of the net. Psyonix is stating that this is a majorly updated sequel, though it will retain the gameplay madness of the first title.

Rocket League has much improved visuals and will retain local split screen play for up to four players. There will also be dedicated servers for online multiplayer too. A new addition to the game is the Season mode which includes various teams and arenas to unlock, as well as over 100 customisation options. A replay feature will also allow players to edit full game footage to create their own custom playbacks.

  1. Finally. SARPBC was easily one of my most played PS3 games. Great to see Psyonix is actually added a ton of features and customisation options. Can see this being a permanent fixture for when mates come round.

  2. Weeeee, can’t wait for this! :D
First one was such an awesome party game.

  3. This has made my day! :D

  4. Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars had much more of a ring to it though, right? I really enjoyed the first one so this is excellent news!

  5. I’ve never played or knew what Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars was, however this looks like a lot of fun! Again I like the inclusion of splitscreen, as with Distance. Future of splitscreen looks bright so far this-gen, having been nonexistent last-gen.

  6. After clocking several thousand hours on SARPBC, safe to say I’m pretty excited.

  7. I was spectacularly rubbish at this game but it was great fun and a rare local multiplayer treat.
