Assassin’s Creed Unity Performance Patch Delayed

One of the common complaints with Assassin’s Creed Unity is the framerate, which often dips well below the 30fps mark the series has always attempted to adhere to. Shortly after launch, Ubisoft noted that a sizable performance patch was on the way to help rectify these issues across all platforms, but it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for that update to arrive.

Although it was originally slated to launch yesterday, Ubisoft just stated on their blog that it’s going to require a bit more work and a bit more time.


As stated last week, we’d expected to release the patch today (and we know that many are anticipating its release), but we are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we’ve promised. We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.

Hopefully they’re being literal when they say that it will only take a few more days and this doesn’t turn into something we end up waiting on into next year.

  1. Too bad they didn’t ‘hold off’ and wait for the game to be finished before releasing that!

    • Very true mate, they didnt seem to care about “high quality their customers derserve” when the game was released.
