Ho ho ho, ’tis I, the fat jolly bearded man with a huge sack, bringing you news of the PlayStation Store January Sales which begin today. Listed below are some of the highlights but please note that this is not the entire sale, the elfs at Sony tell me that the offers are “very extensive” and there are far too many to list.
After a good stuffing at Christmas and very merry new year, check the store again on January 7th as a whole sleigh load of new deals will be going live on that day.

There are a few extra games in the sales, and there are some good deals so it’s well worth checking out. But too many to list? I wouldn’t say that. Certainly a clever way of getting customers to visit the store directly though.

Maybe finally time to pick up OctoDad.
JustTaylorNow
Wow really this is a sale!
The only good deals here are trial fusion & pro Evo but you can get pro Evo cheaper on Amazon

Despite the fact that they’re making a mockery of the word “January”…
Nothing tempting me for the PS4. Although anyone who hasn’t played Valiant Hearts should just go and buy it now.
Fairy Fencer F is tempting me for the PS3, but I’m one of those weird people who “Likes odd JRPGs from NISA that get very average reviews and can overlook totally impractical clothing for fighting”.
Shame Warriors Orochi 3 is only the Vita version though. I’d go for some more of that ridiculous fun on the PS4. (But then the sale price would probably be more than buying a physical copy anyway)

Question first: How does Octodad fair as a party game? We’ll be hosting the new year’s dinner and I was thinking of grabbing Monopoly for that. But might as well get this one too if it’s a good party option.
That said, I’ll be grabbing Ratchet&Clank: A Crack in Time for co-op with my girlfriend and Tokyo Jungle because I’ve been wondering about that forever.
DividSmythe
I’ve not really played it in co-op but I’d should imagine it’s great fun. It’s very short though so might suit a dinner party. There is YouTube videos if you want to see co-op is like.

It’s one of the best for co-op and partying. The same can be said for Johann Sebastian Joust in Sportsfriends, if you’ve got a few Move controllers and DS4s (or better yet, a PS3 and 7 Moves!), though you’ll want to pack it away after a little while and you’d need a lot of space.

PEGGLE 2!! So bought
Geffdof23
I’ve been wanting it for a while. Can’t complain at that price.
TSBonyman
I might grab Shadow Warrior at that price.
Andrewww
Ok, finally a few decent offers, although many of the games are still cheaper elsewhere. Am going to get Valiant Hearts now, and I strongly recommend Trials Fusion, which is really fun and bloody difficult.

Resonance of Fate sounds tempting, but I’m not sure when I’ll find time to play it with my enormous backlog.
MrYd
If you like a nice RPG that isn’t some horrible “action RPG” thing where you press X repeatedly to kill enemies, get Resonance of Fate.
If you like completely ridiculous guns, get Resonance of Fate. The weapon crafting in the game is very, very silly, attaching many barrels and sights and other bits to guns. Possibly one of my favourite weapon crafting systems in any RPG I’ve ever played.
And if you have £7.99 sat in your PSN account, just go and buy Resonance of Fate. An excellent RPG. Just be prepared to put the time in and learn how everything works.
Steelhead
Just bought some PSN credit off Gamexchange to buy Rebirth1, Fairy Fencer F and Dark Souls II. I was just starting to get my backlog under control too.
