  1. I just can’t get on with keyboard and mouse for gaming. I know the experts say there’s much better accuracy but I just can’t be bothered to learn. I wonder how much this will divide the community, will those who are good with this be better than anyone can be with a standard controller?

    • I’d imagine that for racing games it’d be akin to steering with the direction buttons rather than the left thumbstick…..accuracy down the bog. All I can possibly envisage using a keyboard for gaming wise would be playing an aircraft simulator with it’s many operations/controls or just typing messages.

      • Obviously for racing games, mouse/keyboard is terrible compared to controller. Just like controller is poor compared to an actual wheel.

However, there are plenty game types that are far better with a m/k. FPS being the primary example because the accuracy/movement is just so much better. It’s fine on console, but it’s better with m/k. There are also certain games that don’t port to console all that well (relative to their PC counterparts) because of the controller issue (ie, MOBAs, RTSs, etc). Diablo is a decent port because the skillset in use is limited, but even that’s still better on m/k.

  2. Nope, don’t get it – I see they have included an L3 key, but no R3 key?? Or a ‘Square’ key??

Also, there is a ‘Duck’ key. Aren’t these usually mapped to buttons such as circle (which is a different key) or R3?? & when is a ‘Walk’ key going to be useful?????

    Mental.

  3. would rather just have a dongle that mapped an existing mouse/keyboard’s inputs onto the buttons of the controller. This proprietary nonsense defeats half the purpose of having a mouse/keyboard in the first place!

  4. I use a keyboard on my PS4 – but not for gaming – for easy typing, so this wouldn’t do the job. Touchpad seems to be in an odd location and i don’t see a socket for a headset. Seems pretty limited in function and appeal.

  5. Seems to me like this will either bomb or do amazingly, depending on how much of an advantage it gives the twitch shooter fans. I’d definitely use a mouse for strategy but I think I’ll stick with a controller for everything else thanks, Im happy with that for now.
