Destiny: The Taken King Will Not Have Raid At Launch

Destiny: The Taken King will be releasing in a couple of weeks, but if you’re expecting a raid to be part of that launch package then you’d be wrong. The raid that has been announced for The Taken King is called King’s Fall which is bigger than the previous raids, Crota’s End and Vault of Glass. The news came from an interview conducted by IGN who spoke to director Luke Smith.

“It’s not going to be available on day one. We definitely have a plan for when it’s going to be available. I’m not going to announce the plan for it on the youtube gaming stage. But I promise for people who are excited about the raid will know when it’s time to take time off work. We’ll give em’ a heads up.”

Destiny: The Taken King will be releasing September 15th for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

  1. As a non Destiny player looking in from the outside, the DLC program looks ridiculously priced for the little amount you get.

  2. I really wonder what they’ll bring that’s worth the 40 bucks they’re asking! Might sit this one out and wait for the reviews (and price drop maybe)

  3. 1 raid
    8 story missions – estimated 7 hours
    4 strikes
    7 new multiplayer maps
    3 new multiplayer modes
    new level cap
    completely revised base game systems
a new subclass for each of the 3 classes
dozens of new weapons, armor and other items
a new location with patrol mode and new public events, including the court of oryx 9 player event
ongoing endgame activites including The Taken War
