It looks like a brand new location will be released for Driveclub in 2016, and this time city streets are looking like they’ll be converted into race tracks. Evolution Studios took to the Driveclub Twitter feed to reveal four images that showed off where players will be driving in 2016. The images show buildings lining both tarmac and cobbled streets during the day and night.
Evolution hasn’t stated exactly when the new tracks will be released, nor the events each may support. If you’d like to hear more about Driveclub you can listen to game director Paul Rustchynsky chat about it on our Year According To podcast.

Very cool, am looking forward to this..!
I’m actually quite surprised how this game managed to change my view of racing games on the PS4. As my G25 doesn’t work on the current gen, I was sure not to play much racing at all anymore. Driveclub proved me wrong.
That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like my old hardware to work with the PS4. But converting back to playing with a controller was possible, contrary to what I had thought.

Even though it looks cool, I wish they would quit all driveclub development and bring us a new motorstorm.

Dying for a new Motorstorm. Mind you, with Bikes having recently been released, I can see them doing something along the lines of DriveClub Off-Road or DriveClub X Motorstorm.

“DriveClub Off-Road”?? Have you been watching me play Driveclub then?? Because that’s where I seem to spend half my time. Either driving off the side of the road and taking out various roadside items, or driving in a less traditional vertical manner.
Driving isn’t my strong point. But the game is just so much fun anyway. And even more fun with those silver stars now.

Sweet!

For God’s sake, can they stop adding content please – some of us are waiting for the complete edition! :p
MrYd
Wasn’t the plan to move towards developing it as a service from now on? We’ve got the main game, and the season pass, so there’s your “complete edition” (for a bargain price these days). Then we got bikes, and now more tracks. I’m guessing a season 2 pass coming? With more tours available with that, or to buy individually. And maybe eventually another big expansion like bikes?
Which all makes a lot of sense and a nice change to having a whole new version every year or 2. The main game is cheap now, picking up some of those people who weren’t going to buy it at full price. And now they can make even more money from the very reasonably priced DLC.
I wouldn’t have been surprised if the main game had gone completely free, but then bikes appeared, which would have been the ideal time to do that.
So a complete edition isn’t going to happen, is it? And they’ll keep adding bits forever. Which I’m happy with. Even if I’m shit at driving.

I’m thinking that maybe there will be a new kind of add-on or expansion pack next year (Rally edition would be nice). If I remember correctly, Rustchynsky didn’t sound to enthusiastic towards another Season Pass in the pod cast – thats the impression I got anyway.
Youles
Didn’t realise that was the model, no. In that case I’ll probably stop waiting. Have the PS+ edition but will grab the upgrade or full game at some point – and I stupidly didn’t grab the season pass when it was £5 in a sale!

Hmmm, I like the feel of the current ones but i’m not sure about built-up city streets. Not complaining though, new tracks are always welcome!
double-o-dave
I think I kind of know where you’re coming from there. I prefer the more countryside, open road / mountain type tracks as opposed to race circuit type tracks (if that makes sense – I’m not familiar with racing folk speak).
Anyway, in previous games I’ve played, built up track areas in cities etc seem to reflect the circuit track design, thats unless you have rally tracks that meander through villages.
I’m not too sure I’ve expressed too well or know what I’m talking about here, so if anyone else does, help me out ;)
TSBonyman
That’s it exactly Dave, i tend to prefer the point-to-point tracks over the circuits. Even Driveclub’s existing circuit tracks still have that country feel – except that really short Chile circuit – so it will probably feel quite different in a built-up environment.

Driveclub is my most played game on ps4, if they keep adding new content I’ll never get my backlog finished :p

Same here, I might leave it for a few weeks but always go back for more.
The more tracks the better.
