Almost a year ago Game Atelier announced Monster Boy And The Wizard Of Booze for PS4 and PC. Well in the months that followed the studio changed the name of the game to Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom, as well as confirmation of an Xbox One release. Now Game Atelier has released the first gameplay footage for the latest Monster Boy, which you can watch above.
Game Atelier also confirmed it is aiming to release Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom in 2016, though when exactly is currently unknown.

Looks wonderful. The transformations remind me of both Shantae and For Frog The Bell Tolls.
The latter of which I’ve never even played, but anyone who’s spent time with Smash Bros 4 will be familiar with the main character.
