Bargains ahoy on the PlayStation Store, plus the usual load of titles that have had their prices chopped but are still more expensive that the boxed products. My top pick from this lot – and I know I go on about this all the time – is SOMA. which is down to £15.49. The title turned up in many “Game of the Year” lists so it’s not just me raving about it, you really should check it out.
Far Cry 4 is a bit of a steal at £14.39, and NBA 2K 16 isn’t, at a reduced price of £44.99. Ubisoft’s Wii U revamp, Zombi, is now £7.99 whilst Driveclub Bikes is also gets a price chop to £9.99 for the standalone and £7.99 for the DLC.

Having picked up Driveclub and the season pass for £9.99 at Christmas (but held off buying Driveclub bikes), I have now bought the Bikes expansion for £7.99 – so overall, what a bargain!
Tomhlord
Best value game, period.
Youles
Certainly is! Maybe only second to Rocket League, which was free! ;)
ron_mcphatty
Totally! I’m buying it now. It doesn’t really matter but does anyone know if it’s any good?
blast71
Think I may have to bite now, although I’m still playing the regular Driveclub most days anyway. Great game & an easy platinum too.
Youles
Let me know if you want to crash bikes together online ;)
blast71
OK matey, will do ;)
JR.
ZOMBIE for £7.99, thank you.
colmshan1990
A few more Vita games were added too, these are the ones I noticed were added:
The Amazing Spider-Man (was €39.99, now €12.99)
Assassin’s Creed Liberation (was €19.99, now €7.99)
BlazBlue Chronophantasma Extend (was €39.99, now €14.99)
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 (was €39.99, now €19.99)
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 Gold Edition (was €49.99, now €29.99)
SpongeBob HeroPants (was €39.99, now €14.99)
Xblaze Code: Embryo (was €24.99, now €14.99)
colmshan1990
Hah, can’t even make that list right. Assassin’s Creed is €6.99, not €7.99.

Tales from the Borderlands and Zombi. Great prices.
Some really good discount across the January sale this year.
Crazy_Del
Is Telltale Games any good?
Lyts1985
If you like your story based games, definitely! Tales From The Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us have been my favourites.
Youles
I agree those are the best – and the Borderlands soundtrack is excellent!
JR.
I’ve enjoyed all of the Telltale games that I’ve played. Jurassic Park, TWD 1&2, Wolf Among Us.
I did swear that I’d never play another Telltale game ever again after a glitch in TWD Season 1 wouldn’t recognise my choices in the final episode (but I got over it).
I haven’t played any of their recent efforts because I’m not really into Game of Thrones or Borderlands. But I used to feel the same way about Wolf Among Us and I ended up loving that.
Crazy_Del
Thanks for the response guys considered that sold! It’s bloody cheap 5 games right?

I still can’t make up my mind about the Driveclub expansion. Did anyone who normally wouldn’t play bike games pick it up – and how are you finding it?
MrYd
If Driveclub had been more of a racing sim, instead of an arcade racer (ok, it’s really kind of somewhere in between, leaning towards the arcade style), the bikes wouldn’t have been as fun.
But add them to the existing game, on the same tracks, and it works. Just different enough. They’re harder to control, but you soon get used to them.
And at a bargain price now too.
TSBonyman
Thanks, i feel like i’m just delaying the inevitable, might as well pick it up while it’s on sale!
Lyts1985
I was really hoping the Uncharted Collection or Until Dawn would be reduced as I had £30 of PSN vouchers for Xmas… Sadly I already own the majority of the sale items that interest me.
Just Cause 3 is tempting me but after recently getting the plats for MGSV and Fallout 4, as well as having Mad Max to get through, I’m not sure if I’ve got another open world type game in me so soon…
Youles
Platinums for both, although. That’s impressive mate!
Lyts1985
Cheers matey :-) neither are particularly difficult (well, MGSV has its moments), just time consuming really.
Certainly not as impressive as a platinum on COD Ghosts or GTAV anyway ;-) Ghosts still annoys me… So close and yet so far
Andrewww
That’s SOMA for me now, which has been on my wish list since launch. And I’m tempted by Driveclub bikes, although I didn’t really like it too much driving the one bike, which I suddenly got playing the regular game. And maybe even Far Cry 4, which I wanted to skip, but a friend just got it now, so that would be a reason. So many games and so little time… ;o)
blast71
How did you get a bike in the regular game? Was it a glitch?
Andrewww
Just checked which bike it is and the web says…: you can unlock the KTM 1290 Super Duke R by completing Rank 10 of the KTM Owners Club Accolade.
As there are KTM cars, you can do that by playing the regular game. :o)
However, they are more difficult to handle, and it rather put me off getting the DLC, but I’ll have to try again.
blast71
Oh right, that’s good to know. I’ll have a look to see what level I’m on. Be good to try the bike before I buy the dlc. Cheers!
Andrewww
You’re on level 8 and I’ve just sent you a challenge for the bike… ;o)
zb100
SOMA! Boom!
Am tempted to upgrade my ps3 versions of Alien & Far Cry however chances are, I won’t touch them…
matthangzhou
Please buy SOMA. Great game.
zb100
Downloading now. :)
TSBonyman
Definitely under consideration here too, hopefully will grab it before the sale ends.
JR.
I nearly bought SOMA last week when it was full price (glad I didn’t now) but I ended up going for Kings Quest instead. I might just have to go for SOMA too now that it’s in the sale. From the little that I’ve seen, it looks like a cross between Silent Hill and the original Dead Space.
