Winter finally brought some cold weather this week, after a December which was miserable through being wet, rather than frigid. So I hope you’ve been bundled up warm on your daily commutes and excursions out into the freezing cold.
Or maybe you just stayed in and played games? Over last weekend, I got to sample some of Dying Light: The Following, both for a preview and a video, but did so between guiding my land carrier through the desert in Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak for review, and I finished playing the quite excellent Danganronpa. This week also gave me the chance to try my hand at Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, and while I didn’t have a clue what was going on, I had a bit of fun with it and Dom helped to explain some stuff to me.
Dom’s been playing lots, as he continued on with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, but there was also a look at Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty as it arrived on PS Vita, and he explored something else that’s under embargo.
Embargoes are why Dave was so quiet last week, but he’s able to gab about playing Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster and a bit of Dragon Quest Heroes this time around. He also said he wanted to continue playing Fallout 4, but that his missus has been monopolising the console and TV to play it herself!
Miguel, after working through Binary Domain, Yakuza and Splatoon for the past few weeks wanted a little more co-operative fun in his life. So he grabbed the new Black Ops 3 and has played it nonstop since, saying that it’s really sunk its claws into him, much moreso than the previous ones.
It’s been a more emotionally draining week for Aran, who played This War of Mine: The Little Ones for review, rating it as one of the best survival games yet. He’s lightened the mood a bit since then with The Tower of Deadly Monsters and its 50s B movie inspirations, but he needs a little bit more time before you’ll see his review of Death By Game Show.
Jim’s continued to plug away at The Witcher III, heading off from Novigrad to Skellige, and it looks like he still has quite a journey ahead of him. His experiments with The Elder Scrolls Online weren’t quite as engrossing, so he and his housemates have ventured into Destiny: The Taken King, but though he’s enjoying his time with the expansion, he feels that not everything has changed for the better.
Finally, in stark contrast to the wealth of gaming above, Tuffcub’s dedication to visiting the gym a few times a week has sapped his gaming time. He’s only played Life Is Strange while at home, but has been able to play New ‘n’ Tasty and Volume when he’s commuting.
And now it’s over to you. What have you been playing this past week?

Avenger
More of the Can-Am league on Forza 6. Lots of Battlefield 4. Started Deus Ex Human Revolution and Gears of War 2. Tried out the WRC 5 demo, it’s ridiculously good with a wheel.
Also traded in the DFGT and swapped it for the ultra cheap T150 deal going last weekend, so I used that a bit on TGMEM and some of my old PS3 games.
Will play a bit more Gears of War UE and then sell it as Sunset Overdrive is coming through the post. Also hoping to start some more co-op over the weekend to get through the PS3 backlog.

Little bit of Fallout 4 but the world (and game mechanics) are really starting to grate on me so I dunno how much more I can take. Also tried Grim Fandango and Gauntlet, both seemed alright but doubtful I’ll invest much time in either. Really need to find something that engages me soon though…
JR.
Completed Advanced Warfare and felt it needed to be more advanced in the story department next time.
Played some 3v3 on Rocket League and wished human football was this much fun.
Played the first 15 minutes of Dying Light but wasn’t really in the mood for killing zombies.
Played some Sly 4:Thieves In Time on the vita.
Built some houses in Fallout 4 and then killed the old woman by giving her too many drugs! WTF? I thought she could see the future…?
Bought Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture because nobody went to the store to buy it so now it’s half price.
Downloaded Grim Fandango.
Rented Life Is Strange which arrived in the post today.
So I feel like a homeless guy who just got tickets to an all you can eat buffet and doesnt know where to start.
I need Bernard’s watch so I can freeze time and play games nonstop for a week and get myself up to date.
R1MJAW
More Rayman Legends.
More Borderlands Pre-sequel co-op with Forrest and Pixel.
More Diablo.
More Guitar Hero Live.
A few runs of Binding of Isaac.
TSBonyman
I tried the WRC 5 demo having tried the Seb Loe Evo demo a few weeks ago. Both look a bit dated but i thought Seb Loe had a slight edge over WRC.
Created a new world in Minecraft in order to check out the updated content and had another few runs at Binding of Isaac, looking forward to the upcoming expansion.
Returned to Fallout 4 for the first time since Christmas and i’m still happily dividing my time between doing missions and just wandering about.
Finally reached level 50 in Driveclub but didn’t get a trophy … until i switched back from bikes to car mode a couple of days later. Yay!
Pixel_nme

Grinded out all of the tedious RE Revelations 2 trophies this week so all I have left is to play through the remaining chapters for the platinum.
Picked up a copy of The Evil Within this week for a bank-busting £2.99. Got it all installed yesterday, so am hoping to play an hour or two this evening.
Oh I just played Tomorrows Children. Its shit…
Lyts1985
Played a bit more Mad Max, am about half way through now.
Got two platinums in two days – Rocket League and Uncharted Remastered. Started Uncharted 2 but I’m still undecided as to whether or not I bother going for the platinum; I’ve not played the Uncharted games before and jumping straight in to Crushing difficulty on the first simply wasn’t fun. Spoilt the game a bit as I found I just wasn’t looking forward to going back to it…
I’ve also made a start on Grim Fandango. Have to say, I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. It’s alright, but not as amazing as its hyped up to be… Maybe it just hasn’t aged particularly well?

Ooo, I played a bit of Mortal Kombat X too, after picking it up in the sale. I’m not sure what’s happened to the control scheme or if it’s a problem with the DS4 but some specials and combos just don’t register and it’s quite off-putting. I’ve even tried performing the inputs in practice mode which show I’m performing the right moves but still no dice. Tried making changes in the controller settings as a few forums suggest but that’s made very little difference.
Became obvious in the tutorial with Scorpion. The most frustrating is his spear “Get over here!!” Attack. ,punch. Maybe 1 in 5 times it works. Such a basic move yet the game seems to think I’m inputting it wrong and I end up doing a silly little jump!
Incredibly frustrating and really puts a downer on what looks to be a good game :-(
wonkey-willy
balls deep in the campaign on advanced warfare on me xbone…
black cops 3 on my ps4..
oddworld new and tasty on the vita!
Lyts1985
Black cops 3? That’s a cracking bit of predictive text, fair play! :-D
