The Bunker Is A Live Action Psychological Horror Coming Out This Summer

30 years after the nukes started flying and everything above ground was destroyed, you’re the only survivor of the nuclear bunker. You’ve watched everyone else that was holed up with you die, and now your mind is starting to unravel in this psychological horror.

It’s a game with a twist, thanks to being 100% live action. Adam Brown (The Hobbit, Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), Sarah Greene (Penny Dreadful, Assassin’s Creed 3), Grahame Fox (Game of Thrones) and Jerome St. John Blake (Star Wars franchise) star in a story penned by screenwriters from the likes of Broken Sword, The Witcher and SOMA. In the name of authenticity, it’s all been shot in a genuine decommissioned nuclear bunker in Essex.

What makes this fascinating is that it’s live action at all. This famously didn’t work in the 90s, when CDs became readily available, but as with VR’s renaissance, Splendy Games and Wales Interactive are looking to bring it back. Curiously, they say that you’ll be able to roam around the live action world, opening doors, collecting items and unlocking secrets. It’ll be very interesting to see how this is pulled off.

The game is out on PC and consoles in the summer, with an iOS and Android release planned for later in the year.
