Dota 2 Makes eSports History With Biggest Prize Pool Ever

The International 6 (TI6) is officially underway. As thousands of fans flock to Seattle’s KeyArena, millions more have been tuning in from around the world, watching as the best teams come head to head in Dota 2’s annual tournament.

As ever the prize pool is huge and continues to grow thanks to sales of the Battle Pass, a virtual TI journal that unlocks a slew of in-game items for Dota 2 players.

Having smashed records last year with its $18.43m prize pool, The International has done it again. Right now the current total stands at $20.1m which will be split between the tournament’s winner and runners up.
