This one slipped me by, I’ll admit, but Nier: Automata was promised a demo earlier this month, and now it’s out for all on PS4 to download and enjoy.
Catchily titled Nier: Automata Demo 120161128, simply head to the PlayStation Store and get its 4.4GB downloaded. In it, you join androids 2B and 9S as you fight for the future of our planet, trying to reclaim it from the machines in a slick, fast paced action RPG.
Here’s the trailer that was released back at PSX at the start of the month. Nier: Automata is out for PS4 in Europe on 10th March.

Just tried it, it’s a great taster.
You get some exploration and a boss battle and should be done in less than half an hour.
The game seems like a promising hack and slash with the classic Platinum Games style of combat.
It’s one I’m keeping an eye on.
