February’s EU PS Store Sale Features Some Of 2016’s Biggest Games

Sony have kicked of a new sale for February, and it features some of last year’s biggest games once again. We’ve already seen most of these on sale before, and for similar prices, but getting another chance to pick up some of these games digitally at decent prices is no bad thing. Of course, it’s rarely going to beat retail pricing.

This week’s Deal of the Week is Watch Dogs 2, then, which sees its price drop to £29.99. The February sale then features Dishonored 2 and Mafia 3, both for £29.99, while Uncharted 4 is £19.99, and PS+ subscribers can revisit BioShock: The Collection for £20.49. The best deal for footie fans seems to be PES 2017 for just £15.99!

There’s a huge list though, and there’s more than one plate of discounts spinning, as well. You have the February Savings, then there’s Digital Discounts, PS3 and PS Vita discounts, and a sale on LittleBigPlanet DLC.

So here’s the list of February Savings, but you’ll obviously have to head over to the PlayStation Store in order to see pricing.

  1. Whichever of the many sales it’s in I grabbed Absolute Drift for a pleasant £6.50, looking forward to smashing that this weekend! Trophy hunting might have to wait. Again :)

  2. They’re taking the piss with Destiny.

I own the game on disc. I bought The Taken King at some point, which included the first 2 expansions.

So, I wanted Rise of Iron as well? I can pay £25 for it. Or I can pay £25 for the “collection”, which includes the game and all the DLC, and sell the disc for a couple of quid somewhere. Except that’s not allowed because I already own Taken King.

It’s not the only thing I’ve seen doing that either. You own a game and possibly some DLC? Locks you out of buying a bundle of the game and all the DLC for a cheaper price.

    • That is such a pain, I keep looking when I see Destiny on offer but there’s never an incentive to buy it if you bought the initial season pass.

  3. Meh, nothing there for me really. I’m moderately tempted by Alien: Isolation, it’s not really the kind of game I’m looking for at the moment though.

I would’ve gone for the Witcher 3 if it was a bit cheaper, I swear it’s been considerably cheaper than that in a sale before?

    • This rather helpful page on a very useful website…

      https://psprices.com/region-gb/game/870540/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-game-of-the-year-edition

suggests it was cheaper on sale in November. But only by 50p.

      • Good spot! My current run of piss poor memory strikes again!

      • Remember that website. Or if your memory is that bad, bookmark it ;)

It somehow gets all the deals listed as soon as they’re live, before Sony announce anything, or the store gets updated to list them all in 1 place. And that handy graph of past prices is useful for when you might want to hold off for a cheaper deal later. Or for deciding “50p isn’t worth worrying about”.

      • Good call on that website bud.Very useful indeed.

    • Its a cracking price for the game with all the DLC mate. The DLC alone puts most normal AAA games to shame.

  4. Saving for a Switch in addition to putting Nioh on my credit card means I’ll need to give this sale a miss.

That said, Nioh is going to keep me busy for a while.
