Long before CD Projekt Red’s über successful Witcher video games came a series collected stories and novels by Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski.
Those books will be adapted into an English-language drama series for Netflix according to a press release published by production company, Platige Image – also based in Poland.
Exactly which part of the Witcher saga will feature in the series remains unknown, though it will stay faithful to the source material.
No cast members have been announced though Sean Daniel and Jason Brown – executive producers on The Expanse – are tied to the project.

Are executive producers any guarantee of any sort of quality? They’re not really the people that make something good, that’s down to the writers and directors and actors.
But maybe it could be as good as The Expanse. Which everyone should watch. (It’s on Netflix, or at least the first series is)
Probably just as well Netflix are adapting the books though, and not the game. If it was based on the game, it’d look very nice, but the plot would wander off into all sorts of irrelevant places and you’d forget what the main story was. And there’d be some rubbish fight scenes you sort of force yourself to watch to get to the good bits.

Yeah, it’s gonna be a weird one to adapt for TV. With The Witcher 3 appearing almost life-like already, I’d be surprised if the production company didn’t copy most of that existing design work.

And the early episodes would have a poor frame rate, and some dodgy set and costume issues, but these would gradually be fixed during the series as the production team provided fixes between each episode.

Thank god they didn’t make an Assassin’s Creed: Unity TV series. First few episodes would have been horrific – assuming they even played when you click the Play button. :D

Does this mean, whoever plays Geralt will have to learn to walk like he’s got a stick up his arse, run uncontrollably & open doors and chests using telekinesis?
Wouldn’t mind watching the series, but my experience with the game was awful, I returned it. The controls and characters movement/mechanics etc were dog shite!
