I bought Skyrim on PS3 on day one and paid full price, and did the same again when it was refreshed for PlayStation 4, and as much as I would love to play Skyrim on PlayStation VR Bethesda can take a running jump if they think I’m going to pay £50 for the same game again. However, that is the price it is listed at on the PlayStation Store and there doesn’t seem to be any upgrade path if you already own the enhanced PlayStation 4 version.

Fallout 4 for HTC Vive is being sold for £39.99.

I’d find it troublesome spending half that.

I assume it will be cheaper from pretty much any other store. Does anyone actually buy from the PS store?
As a Vive owner, I’m balking at having to pay £40 for it, so my sympathies go out to my console brethren.

I don’t buy anything on disc anymore. Couldn’t tell you the last time I paid full price for anything though.

I hate this.
But… I’m probably going to pay that twice before the end of the year. Between VR Skyrim and the Switch’s portable Skyrim my action RPG needs will be set.

This is why prices stay ridiculous on the PSN Store etc. People don’t like the price but pay it anyway. Why would they price games any different?

I can’t deny that I’m weak

Store discount codes are going well, what happened to that idea?
I also begrudge paying full price for a AAA game, admittedly i paid top price for Persona 5 from the psn store. That nearly killed me.

I’ve always assumed they keep most games as rrp on the store so they don’t piss off the retailers.

The current model is to slap a high price on for early adopters, then include it in a weekly digital sale later on. Don’t mind that.

Me neither, i blagged TloU remaster and TR:DE for about a tenner each that way.
