Brazil and the UK unite for a new game, as Brazilian indie developers Firecast Studio and Fableware Narrative Design are joining forces with Team17 to publish Sword Legacy: Omen. Set before King Arthur’s noble rule, twisted into an aesthetic they call “candlepunk”, it sees a kingdom divided as Uther and his band of misfits search the land for the long-lost sword Excalibur. A turn-based tactical RPG, Sword Legacy: Omen will be out on PC in 2017.
It’s the first time Team17 are partnering with a Brazilian developer, with Debbie Bestwick, MBE, Team17’s CEO saying, “Our label aims to work with the best independent creators around the world, help them build new IP and aim for sustainability. We’ve stepped up our international side significantly this year with recently announced partners in North America, Germany and Sweden. It’s a pleasure to welcome Firecast and Fableware to our ever growing family of partners as our first Brazilian team.”
