Ahead of the Blackout beta next week, Treyarch have taken the lid off the map for their twist on the Battle Royale game type. Their claim that it’s “the biggest map in Call of Duty history” isn’t exactly that difficult to believe when the series isn’t particularly well known for their large map sizes, but there’s thirteen distinct locations for players to scope out when dropping into the fray.
Interestingly, one of these is Nuketown Island, which will almost certainly feature a rendition of the fan favourite Nuketown map. When Blackout was first announced, Nuketown was used as a frame of reference for the map’s scale, with Treyarch stating that it would be 1500x the size.
The Black Ops 4 Blackout beta will kick off next week on 10th September for PlayStation 4.
