Your October PlayStation Plus Games Are Laser League And Friday The 13th: The Game

October’s PlayStation Plus games are Laser league and Friday the 13th: The Game, two titles that have recently had all development stopped on them.

Friday 13th had all development dropped due to legal issues, and a week or two ago it was announced that all further content for Laser League had been dropped as the game had failed to find an audience, despite being highly rated. I guess the lack of new content going forward isn’t too much of an issue but it does smack of Sony grabbing a couple of games at rock bottom prices.

Also, Friday the 13th is very similar Dead by Daylight which was on PS Plus two months ago, so that’s going to annoy some people. .

Knowledge is Power remains as a bonus title and Vita owners get The Bridge, Rocketbirds 2, and 2064: Read Only Memories.

Here’s the full line up:

  1. Well that’s disappointing then. A dead game I thought we had 2 months ago (that one obviously made a good impression), and some extra crap?

How can anything with “laser” in the title not be good?

And The Bridge isn’t based on a Swedish/Danish TV series, because unfortunately that’s never the case.

My backlog is happy, especially with RDR2 coming soon.

  2. Doesn’t really matter with RDR2 around the corner.

    • Very true! I was hoping for some stonkers on PS3 and Vita though, a handful of brilliant last hurrahs to warm those nostalgia nodules. There’s still time I guess.

  3. Disappointing selection this month – just as well i have a few games in my plus library to get through yet.

  4. Particularly disappointing as Diablo was rumoured to be coming up this month!

  5. Last month was PS Plus. This month is PS Minus. But that’s ok.

  6. I should demand a refund for this month. I mean Friday the 13th isn’t even worth getting for SP Trophies as it’s all MP!

  7. Load of crap. It’s like they knew we’re too busy with Spider-man, Rise of The Tomb Raider and soon Soul Calibur 6 and RDR2.

  8. I loved Dead By Daylight and was hoping Friday the 13th would be coming someday!
