Persona 5 Royal was officially confirmed a few months back with Atlus confirming that this version of the game would be enhanced and add a new main character to proceedings that will join Joker’s crew. She faces her own issues that the Phantom Thieves will have to help resolve which means new dungeons, palaces and enemies to fight against. The game is releasing on October 3rd in Japan and in 2020 in the West so until then you’ll just have to make do with the new trailer below.
The trailer shows us new locations the Thieves can go to hang out and bond, new NPCs that will have an impact on the lives of the Thieves including the new character, and potentially new attacks you may be able to unleash against enemies. It’s all looking like some great additions to an already great JRPG.
