Yesterday, a brief seven second piece of footage for PS5 and PC looter shooter Godfall was leaked. Today, it appears the full trailer has been leaked by the anonymous leaker who has given no indication of how they got this footage, where it really originated from, and what build it is showing. We only have the information from the leaker that this trailer shows footage of Godfall from early 2019, is apparently not of the PS5 build and came from developer Counterplay.
None of this has been officially verified by either Counterplay or Gearbox Publishing. Keep that in mind while watching the alleged footage of Godfall.
UPDATE: They have confirmed it is old footage.
Hey everyone! We can confirm that the circulating trailer is year-old PC footage used as part of an internal presentation. We are energized by your excitement and look forward to showing you just how far this game has come. Stay tuned for a more detailed look soon! ⚔️

The trailer shows various gameplay with a lot of it being based on the melee combat of the looter slasher title, along with shots of a number of environments that look decent and different enemy types. There are also the main characters that players will control. Godfall was revealed at The Game Awards 2019 as a PS5 console exclusive as well as coming to PC. When it was announced Creative Director Keith Lee said:
“We’re innovating with Godfall to provide a fresh take on action RPGs by rewarding skill-based
offensive gameplay and making every hit matter. Namely, we want to feed into that yearning for the
next best piece in your character build, so we plan to provide plenty of loot to players to ensure
there’s a meaningful impact to gameplay and playstyles.”
Godfall is expected to be released in Holiday 2020, around the same time that the PS5 will be released to the public.
