Though Nook’s Cranny and the Able Sisters store will be able to cater to most of your needs on your new island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but they’re not the only ones looking to sell their wares. Quite a few travelling sellers and other characters will visit your island each week, giving you the opportunity to buy things from them at pop up shops, or interact with them in fun ways.
For this guide, we’re looking at Kicks, who is one of the travelling sellers that will occasionally bring their pop-up stores to your island.

When and where can you find Kicks?
Kicks doesn’t have a set weekly routine for when he’ll show up on your island, but will do so once per week.
This seems to only happen once you’ve completed all the steps to upgrade to the Resident Services Building (or Town Hall, if you’d rather call it that!), because it’s at that point that the area in front of the building will be upgraded to a Plaza. From then on, travelling merchants like Kicks can appear and start selling you their goods.
What does Kicks sell?
Kicks is all about shoes, socks (which includes socks, tights, leggins and similar) and bags. His store will feature a random assortment of 11 items for you to choose from.
Unfortunately, just like when Mabel set up a stall in the plaza to scout out the location for the Able Sisters store, you won’t be able to preview or try on the items he’s selling, but will have to peer at the fairly small icons and guess what they’ll look like when you’re wearing them. Still, you can get a decent idea of what it will look like.

Kicks isn’t the only travelling pedlar that will visit your island, with others like Sahara coming to sell wallpaper, flooring and rugs, Label’s fashion challenge, and Daisy Mae’s Sunday morning visits to sell turnings for the Stalk Market.
