Days Gone released a year ago so Bend Studio has released some stats to celebrate

It has been a year since Days Gone was released on PS4 and to celebrate that milestone Bend Studios has released some stats of what players have accomplished in the time since it was released. That includes the number of hordes that have been taken out, infestations destroyed, how many photos have been taken using the game’s photo mode, and the amount of challenges that have been completed. That is just some of them and you can get the full picture below.

If you cannot see the image clearly it shows:

  • 45 million hordes cleared
  • 32 million infestations cleared
  • 30 million ambush camps cleared
  • 30 million Nero checkpoints cleared
  • 100 million trophies earned
  • 1 million photo mode users
  • 342 million encampment visits
  • 8 billion credits spent on bike repair
  • 450 million collectibles found
  • 655 million dumpsters dived
  • 12.5 million challenges completed
  • 1.4 million patches earned
  • 42,000 days played
  • 1 trillion challenge points earned

In our review for Days Gone Jim was not too enamoured with it, and he wrote:

There are glimmers of true excellence here; small stretches of Days Gone can be especially fun and polished. However, the assembly of these various parts suffers from the lack of an engaging story, compelling characters, or an open world that feels organic and worth exploring.
You can read his full Days Gone review here. It seems by going by the stats above that a lot of people have enjoyed their time with Days Gone. The last major update for Days Gone, 1.61, reduced the game’s file size and introduced other fixes which included:
  • The mission “Better to Light One Candle” bounty should able be obtained properly
  • General optimization towards certain missions
  • Scoring will properly apply when utilizing oxygen tanks in the “Reloaded” Challenge
  • The mission “The Anarchist Spy” will properly reset traps if you fail the mission
  • The mission “Out of Nowhere” helicopter’s light are been fixed
  • General optimization prior to playing before the game fully downloads
  • General improvements to optimization and stability

  1. Wonder how much it has sold in that year? Late summer or early autumn last year there were numbers released about five million “users”.
