Zombie Army 4’s final Hell Cult DLC goes Deeper Than Hell

Today sees the release of the third and final part of the Hell Cult DLC campaign for Zombie Army 4 Dead War. The mission – out today for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC – will take Karl Fairburne and the other heroes of the story… Deeper Than Hell!

Having uncovered the dastardly (and pretty dumb) plot of the Hell cultists to drill deep beneath the surface of the Earth, you and any Deadhunters you can rope in to go with you will fight through a long-lost city full of ancient terrors and occult powers. It’s time to put an end to this threat once and for all. Or, at least, until Rebellion come up with a narrative excuse for Zombie Army 5.

The Deeper Than Hell DLC also comes alongside a Marie, a new French Resistance Fighter character, Hector, a Paratrooper Zombie character, Shotgun pistol and Luger pistol, and some weapon skins.

That’s not all though, as Rebellion have some bonus content being patched into hte game for all players. The Brutal difficulty is a freebie, ramping up the damage enemies deal and making them harder to take down. Not only that, but your HUD will be limited, the dead resurrect more frequently, reviving allies will require a medkit, and plenty more.

It’s a stern test, and for that reason, Brutal difficulty will only be unlocked after you’ve completed the main campaign.

The Zombie Army 4 Season 1 Pass bundles everything together, with content also available separately. If you picked up the Zombie Army 4: Super Deluxe Edition, then Season 1 has been included already.

We had a grand old time with our Zombie Army 4: Dead War review when it came out all the way back in February. With new player abilities and weapon mods, alongside more refined level design, I said:

“If you like shooting zombies with friends, then Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the game for you. There’s a few new twists and several layers of progression now thrown into the mix, as you battle undead Nazis once again, but this is classic undead sniping action through and through.”
