Sports fans will be rejoicing for the weekend ahead, as we get to enjoy all manner of motorsports and sports with balls through the next 36 hours. There’s the Monaco GP, there’s the Indy 500, there’s the Champions League final, there’s the Rugby League Challenge Cup final, there’s the 24 hours of Nurburgring, there’s the French Open… there’s just so much sports!
Thankfully, there’s also video games, so even if you don’t like the concept of physical exertion you can relax at home with a nice game of… I dunno. FIFA or something?

Featured Stories
Through the rest of the week, we had a whole host of previews of upcoming games. Jim dove into MultiVersus and found a surprisingly accomplished challenger to the Super Smash Bros. throne, while Steve played The Quarry, which is the closest that Supermassive has created to an Until Dawn sequel.
I went hands on with Two Point Campus’ new Wizardry and Knight School courses, with the game making real strides beyond the management sim of its hospital-inspired predecessor. Here’s that preview in video form:
And I also got to dive into the twisted take on football that is Mario Strikers: Battle League Football.
Nic played Hamster Playground, a cutesy game that mixes hamsters with tamagotchi and Nintendogs, while I had a less cute preview in the form of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Smeagol has some redeeming qualities though, in this narrative stealth adventure.
Finally, What We Played featured Sniper Elite 5, Ni no Kuni and The Quarry.

Your Achievements
Here’s what you in our community has been up to this week:
- TSBonyman has continued on with “Nevernding Ring”, reaching the Atlus Plateau but finding himself completely outmatched and having to backtrack a bit to level up. Alongside this, he submitted some music loops to the Dreams project Giblets 2, which has ended up being used for the title screen music. Pretty cool!
- willbuchanan has been grappling with RNG in Lego Worlds, bemoaning the need to collect a billion studs as he shoots for the platinum trophy.
- And MrYd has continued with Elden Ring, finding some of its quirks along the way, played the new events in GT7, and lots and lots of Evil Dead: The Game, which is fun so long as you remember to turn off cross-play to avoid PC cheaters.
Enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you next week!
