I hope you’re all well stocked up in your fridges and cupboards with enough hot cross buns, chocolate eggs and all the other essentials for the long weekend. It’s always a touch confusing trying to figure out if Easter will mean that everything’s completely shutting down or just on Sunday hours… so why risk it? At least today is a regular day where you can grab any extra bits and bobs. After all, using as much of the free time as possible to play games is hard work and you need some snacks!
In the News This Week
Let’s check in with the news, where the Nintendo Switch 2 has taken the back seat (outside of the Mario Kart World Direct which you’ll find down in the Trailer Park section).
- The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion remake screenshots leak from developer website
- Tactical shooter Ready or Not is coming to consoles this summer, whether you’re ready or not
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s hardcore mode is out now
- Lords of the Fallen Version 2.0 adds free Friend’s Pass, shared co-op progression and more
- A “special livestream” for FBC: Firebreak is set for 24th April
- Painkiller’s latest trailer showcases some of its wild weapons
- Star Wars Zero Company is a turn-based tactics game coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series XS
- Marathon won’t be free-to-play, but it won’t be ‘full-priced’ either
- Elden Ring Nightreign’s Raider character has been revealed
- PS5 price increases hit UK, EU, Aus & NZ, but at least the disc drive is getting cheaper
Games in Review & Featured Articles
The games in for review this week were not the cream of the carrot crop, but can still offer enjoyment:
- Rusty Rabbit – PS5, XSX|S, NSW, PC – 7/10
- Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate – PS5, XSX|S, PS4, XBO, NSW, PC – 5/10
In the hardware section, Dom might well be a convert to the stickless arcade fight… stick?
With Indiana Jones and the Great Circle now out on PS5, we checked in on the game with PS5 Pro in our sights to see if it’s a big step up over other consoles. Meanwhile, Ade dug through the archives to hunt for some of the inspirations for Indy’s archeological adventuring.
Elsewhere, I went hands on with Crimson Desert, which brought a surprisingly deep and varied style of combat to the table as we battled four of its bosses. Nic, meanwhile, had a preview of Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World Switch 2 Edition, which isn’t quite the most ridiculous game name that’s coming to Switch 2…
And Aran handed in his homework essay on tyranny & oppression through the lens of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
Finishing up for the week, What We Played featured Atomfall, South of Midnight and My Friend Peppa Pig!

Your Achievements
What have you been playing this week?
- TSBonyman completed the first planet in My Little Universe, but has now become obsessed with Blue Prince. The room drafting and puzzles have even infested his dreams!
- Andrewww is waiting to play Blue Prince with his daughter, and has been struggling once more with the fleeting nature of time and the PlayStation Plus library, enjoying the start of Disco Elysium until it vanished from the library before he could finish it. Yet another one to buy from a sale sometime…
That’s the round up for this week. Hope you have a great weekend ahead and we’ll see you back here on Tuesday!
