Marvel has partnered up Arc System Works to create a brand new Marvel fighting game called Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, featuring a large roster of Marvel heroes and villains facing off against each other. It looks like this is the big PlayStation console exclusive that Sony had lined up for the end of the State of Play. It is coming to PC too. Let’s be honest, this will be judged against the classic Marvel vs Capcom games.
The designs of the characters are influenced by various Japanese styles and looks. For example, Iron Man has a slightly anime mech look to it. Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls is a tag fighter but it is pushing the boundary to be a 4v4 system. There are different ways to approach it. You can use one fighter with the other three in the team being assists, or swap through each character to work out the different styles that they have.
Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls is set to be released in 2026.
