Driveclub’s Horsepower Expansion Pack Out July 28th, Patch 1.20 Out Today

Evolution Studios has announced that the final part of the Season Pass will be released next week, and that is the Horsepower Pack. This pack will include five new cars including the Ferrari LaFerrari FXX K, Nissan GT-R NISMO, McLaren P1 GTR,  Renault Mégane R.S. 275 Trophy-R, & Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. The Horsepower Pack will also include a tour which has eleven new events, and five trophies to earn. If you don’t have the season pass you’ll be able to buy this content for €5.99/£4.99/$5.99.

Patch 1.20 was released today and that included the following.

» New Gameplay Settings option to turn Face-offs on or off, for those of you who prefer the pure thrill of the race without any distractions or extra opportunities for earning Fame.
» New Garage options to filter the vehicles so that you can more easily find the car you’re looking for.

» Updated Credits with personal messages, special thanks and new members of the team!

Evolution shed some light on what else is being worked on for Driveclub, with the main priority being private lobbies. A companion app is also being created for the game, though there isn’t much news on that. There will be more free cars in August and September too, as well as more tours in the future.

  1. Such a shame this game had such a rough start because it truly is a great game.

  2. Goodie gum drops! I’ll give this a go in a bit & see if I can become an Elite… Probably not, but I’ll give it a good try.

I’d quite happily buy another Season Pass, & the fact they are continuing to expand the game is brilliant news.

Please, please do a Rally version or a Rally season pass. If this happens, it could quite possibly be the best game known to mankind!

  3. For the first time ever, I actually regret getting a Season Pass for having too much content, as I’m never going to be able to complete it all. To put it in perspective, Driveclub had 32 trophies at launch – now it has 122!

    • In all fairness those trophies were earnt by you managing to log into an online race. :P

  4. As much as I love DriveClub once the season pass is done I won’t be buying any DLC until they offer something a bit different. At the moment they’re all variations on the same basic themes and it’s starting to get a little boring.

We definitely need more new tracks, and some event types – there is a finite number of ways you can spin the same tracks, events, weather and car types. Last night I was doing a race event in one DLC pack that was virtually identical to one I’d done in another a few nights before – same track, weather changes etc the only difference being this time I was in a US car vs a Japanese one.

As others have said some city tracks would be fantastic, as would some off road circuits and rally events.

    • New tracks and off road racing would be welcome.

    • I’d be surprised if they didn’t at least do something like adding new tracks. I think all in all the driveclub season pass has been some of the best value DLC content for a game I can remember. Except maybe Witcher 3, but I haven’t played that really.

Would be cool if they added a couple of new countries and some real world tracks, but I suppose that’s more GT territory….

  5. This looks like a nice way to close out season one of content for DC.
I hope there’s a season two and they go a little crazy, like Motorstorm crazy!
