Free Realms Launches Tonight (Again)

As of tonight, the PlayStation 3 will have its first ever English free-to-play MMORPG, Free Realms. Sony Online Entertainment’s kiddy-themed time sink originally launch on the PC in April 2009, followed later by a Mac release last November.

Free Realms was announced alongside two other MMORPGs, DC Universe Online and The Agency, SOE boasting that all three would be made available to both their PC and PlayStation audiences. However, up until recently many thought the PS3 version had tanked, mainly due to its absence from the mainstream media. To cement the game’s emergence, here is an official launch trailer.

Admittedly the game hasn’t received much hype building up to its PS3 debut, and with Free Realms’ core audience being the least susceptible to word-of-mouth commendations, it may be in for a rough launch.

    • This double post is funny, because you actually have to download it twice. First the launcher, then the game. I’ll probably try out this game too, it’s worth a shot.
