Well this was unexpected, but I’m loving it, as they say at that horrible fast food place. A whole bunch of screens and information of the unannounced Transformers: Devastation have leaked out ahead of E3.
IGN scraped details off a Best Buy listing before it was taken offline; Devastation brings “5 playable Autobots including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock,” in addition to five difficulty modes, customization, and “actors from the original TV series reprising their roles include Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), Dan Gilvezan (Bubblebee), Frank Welker (Megatron and Soundwave), and more.”
The game has been developed by Platinum Games, presumably this is the secret E3 reveal they have been tweeting about.
UPDATE: Looks like this will be a full price boxed release and will hit the shelves on October 6th, 2015.

Yes that’s what the listing says.. :P

Advertising that it has 5 difficulty modes doesn’t make it sound like it’s going to be full of content. Do like cel shaded graphics though.

Looks, and sounds like, a mobile game. Please be a full on console release, and please be good!

Seen elsewhere that it apparently coming to PS4. Good news then!

Looks lots like the old cartoon, with the brightness of the Armada series, how exciting!

a Devil May Cry style Transformers game?
yes please.
how would they incorporate the transformation abilities into that kind of gameplay though?
they seem to have upped the scale a bit, at least on Devastator.
his left foot is supposed to be the cab of a cement mixer, but according to that screenshot, it’s bigger than a bus.
but then size shifting wasn’t proscribed like the movies.
and scale was a somewhat fluid concept in the original cartoon anyway. ^_^
of course they broke that movie size shifting rule with the allspark, starts out the size of a building and ends up as something a human can carry.
maybe they just want Devastator as the ultimate big bad of the game.
anyway, hope it’s real, and hope it’s coming to Playstation as well.

Graphic style looks amazing – and Platinum have a relatively good track record, though not necessarily with licensed games after Legend Of Korra…

Bumblebees a beetle and Megatron seems to be a handgun. Beats the films already.
