CriterionGames.com is listing four future updates for everyone’s favourite racer Burnout Paradise,
The content of the updates, imaginatively titled Packs 4, 5, 6 & 7 will be revealed over the next four consecutive Fridays from the 31st October through to 21st November. With the packs actually being released in the spring of 2009
Burnout which was released in January, has already received three substantial free updates, most recently the Burnout Bikes Pack first announced on TSA back in April. This means that content will still be being released a full year after the games original release, and the fantastic support of their product by Criterion just goes on and on

Yes! There was a blog post on their site a couple of weeks ago (can’t find it now – the ‘older posts’ link doesn’t seem to be working). It won’t affect our platinum trophies, as they were for the core content only, but the addons will have their own trophies too.

Great game! but even though it’s cool to have bikes I didn’t really think they were all that good. I hope the wait to 09(omg another year) will be worth it.
bye money!

Awesome news, Will be even better news if they are free. Although I am expecting them to charge eventually. I would expect at least one new island and that will probably be the one that cost some money. They are one of the best developers out there at least in terms of supporting there games. Great work Criterion.

I love the fact that developers are now starting to support games properly with updates instead of rushing to bring out more sequels.
Between this and Warhawk maybe we’re seeing the future of game development.
The more time they spend on updates instead of sequels the more time they’ve got for original IP’s.
Well thats my thoughts anyway.
