We brought you the bad news last week that the SingStar Trophies had been delayed, but now we can happily say that their out – simply load up SingStar whilst connected to the PSN and the magic patch will wing its way down the pipes directly to your PS3. Being tone deaf means most of these will stay for from my trophy cabinet. Though maybe I can find enough people for a party, and then just sit quietly while they rack up the trophies for me!

I don’t think any trophies are ever retroactive, I presume this is to stop people cheating by using someone else’s game save? Anyone know what the Home rewards are yet?

Only one I know is for visiting the online store, you get a window shopper t-shirt. However, it’s only for female characters! I spent ages looking for the “window shopper” item, and had to create a female character just to find it. (Character has been deleted, so no romantic offers please

When you go to the Singstar Store, there is an “extra” section. In there is the voice control addon (free). However, you can’t download it until 22 April 2009 (in case anyone is worried about which year). Oh, and there is a short video clip demo there of voice control too.

Would love to know if they are looking into an online battle mode? This would be great if it could be done! Another idea would be to have worldwide leaderboards for each song. Oh and if they want to give me commission for all the people I’ve introduced to singstar that’s fine by me!

I’m assuming they haven’t ‘localised’ the voice recognition yet. I thought the whole point of it was so you didn’t have to use the controller? All the demo shows is it going to different artists, I’d hope you be able to select things with it. Just defeats the object otherwise!

I installed the patch on Vol2 last night, ans the trophies just showed up as “Singstar”. Seeing as a lot of them relate to online stuff, visit the store, visiting profiles, leaving comments etc, it wouldn’t work making it disc-specific.
