Here is the full UK ad for EA’s FIFA 10, as mentioned yesterday it is themed around ‘How Big Can Football Get?’ taking its inspiration from the ridiculously huge volume of people FIFA 09 online. Wayne Rooney again takes centre stage along with a host of stars from around the world. This ad premiered in today’s big Manchester derby, although this Internet footage is missing the PlayStation branding which was shown on TV both at the start of the ad and the end.

Here it is in all its glory:

  1. First time I’ve seen it – this and the Shift one look great, nice job EA.

    • The PlayStation branding was particularly noticable on the TV spot, with the PlayStation branding at the start, and PS3 & PSP at the end – So it looks like their marketing arrangement has continued, I wonder if they do the same with Madden in the US?

      • And also, notice the DS3s throughout.

  2. Decent ad, although the music didnt fit at all. Common its football. Not the can-can.

  3. I have no interest in the game, but that advert was brilliant. Nice job whoever is responsible!!

  4. Brilliant.

  5. Nice to see EA finally backing their excellent advertising with some excellent games. Well done to them. Activision: take note.

    • I know it is said over and over but EA have really smartened up.

Whenever there vast fortune means they can now take risks. For years they piled us with absolute rubbish, sure a few good games amongst them but most were just repitions with a tweak. Dead Space, Mirror’s Edge and now Dante’s Inferno plus the free DLC Bad Company recieved show they are sarting to care for their gamers.

      Activision will die under Kotick

      • Kotick understands that only about 1% of people who buy games like Guitar Hero and CoD go online and moan about him, so he or any shareholders won’t mind too much.

What will happen though is what happened to EA a few years ago, even the mass market will tire of annual incremental updates to big franchises, which is why EA made a corporate decision to invest in new franchises, like ME & DS and to focus on metacritic ratings for their old franchises like FIFA with the stated aim to achieve 90%+

  6. Frank Sidebottom FTW!

  7. After seeing the ad, Kotick will probably be Googling the words “ten zillion” to see if there’s a chance of another over-priced edition of Call of Duty being made.

    • I was gonna say – Kotick will see this ad as a new pricing structure

  8. Wow great advert. Just fuels my enthusiasm for this game.

  9. That’s awesome

  10. Now that video was just plain awesome.

  11. Great spot to drop it into as well, plenty of hype before easily the best game of the year so far!

  12. Good advert. Not sure about the can can in a football advert though!!

  13. Sony is back in the game.

    • i agree…

  14. This video is mint! :)
I take preference to last years though, it was longer and generally better.

    • I agree, made me want to play online did last years one don’t know why though.

  15. Does it really make a noise like that when you tackle someone? Sounds like a bomb being dropped, haha.

    • I highly doubt it buddy. ;)
Would be humorous tackles do sound like that though.
