A post on the PlayStation Blog (the US blog) has revealed that inFamous will be getting free DLC very soon. As per usual there has been no word on whether this will be coming to us here in the EU, despite many people asking the question. It’s a good job I have a holiday home in Beverly Hills!
The ‘Gigawatt Blades’ will available from the 10th December in North America. These blades sound cool, but what do they do?
The Gigawatt Blades supercharge Cole’s arm into blades of pure energy which can be used to cause massive damage against enemies during melee combat.

I don’t know, I bought this game for 15 quid 3 days ago and wasn’t particularly impressed with it. All the missions are the same, run there, fix that electric thing, run there and fix another electrical thing. The cut-scenes have some horrendous animation, why does your mate run like such a freak when you’re escaping the city near the start? Will probably play through it and finish it, but I was expecting something much more varied than I found in the first couple of hours of play. Will electric arms dlc really make this any better?

Aw man.. Cool that they are adding something to the game but it doesn’t entice me to go back and play again (unless they add some trophies..) New gameplay please =)

Yeah, that was a long wait. Very nice of them as it seemed really valuable and you couldn’t really get it elsewhere.

Ow, I got this back on day 1.
There was a code for these inside the case (I got the special edition, which came with the Gigawatt blades.)
Oh well, I’ll patiently wait for inFamous 2

The blades are cool enough when messing around, but frankly I never used them in the story.

Seems an odd time to be releasing this, I might download it and get those last few trophies, I never did manage to do the stunt where you zap someone in the air and then hit them with a slam when you land.

Even if it came i cant really be bothered to play it again unless other DLC like another island came out. I got the platinum so whats left to do. More trophies = il play it more.

It’s nice that it’s free, and good to see the little exclusive DLC thing being released for everyone else (it should happen for all games), but it’d be better if there was some actual new content for the game…
Or an announcement for inFamous 2…

Interesting…been thinking of picking this up on the cheap…had it on rentakl and played through but might get it and play through again to get the other trophies
