Final Fantasy burst onto the scene last week with number one positions across the board, but have things changed just one week on? You bet they have!
UK PS3 Chart: Week ending 20th March:
Final Fantasy slips down into 3rd place whilst Battlefield: Bad Company stands strong at number 2. But there is a rather epic shadow being cast on the top spot. Kratos has managed to claim the PlayStation chart crown with his PS3 debut. The other new entry this week is MotoGP 09/10 which claims 7th place. Assassin’s Creed II climbs back into the top 10 but the rest of the chart comprises of very familiar titles…except for Bioshock 2, which exits the chart. God of War 3 has given Sony their second All Formats No.1 of the year, Heavy Rain being the first, which is already one more than they achieved during the whole of 2009. Kratos’ PS3 outing has outdone the PS2 predecessor’s launch by 2.65 to 1.
UK 360 Chart: Week ending 20th March:
Final Fantasy also slips to 3rd place on the Xbox 360 chart with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 regaining the top spot. Newcomer Metro 2033 debuts at number 2 and Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening debuts at number 6. MotoGP 09/10 fails to make the top ten on the 360 with the rest of the chart comprising of regular names.
Apologies for the formatting of the charts this week but technology isn’t going my way this morning, they will be back to usual next week.
