Heavy Rain Hits A Million

David Cage has revealed that Heavy Rain has now sold over 1 million copies Worldwide and that he expects the game to sell at least half of that again before the end of the year.

Speaking to German site Play3 the Quantic Dreams man said,

The sales were a surprise to many, since estimated sales were between 200,000 to 300,000 units. We estimate that by the end of the year, we will have sold 1.5m copies, and are very pleased with the reception.

Heavy Rain actually entered the charts at number one on the first week of its release and has been receiving a lot of positive words from gaming press and consumers alike the World over. Whether it will reach the sales Cage is expecting remains to be seen, however from units sold so far it seems like it just may well do so.
