Microsoft have today confirmed in a press release that Gears of War 3 will be released on 8th April 2011.
To have a solid date so far in advance will no doubt help the company build this title up to be one of the most hyped games ever released. In fact the hype is starting already with Cliff Bleszinski revealing the game via the Jonny Fallon Show in the US along with a rather nice trailer.
As well as revealing the date that Xbox 360 fans can get their hands on the game, Microsoft have also revealed that as from 20th April, Xbox users will also be able to get their hands on some COG Armour for their Avatars. Microsoft sure know how to build up excitement for their games.
