As Sony kicks off their E3 press conference, Kaz Hirai has been singing the praises of 3D, illustrating Super Stardust, WipEout HD, Pain and Motorstorm as key examples. He said there’ll be 20 titles by March 2011, saying 3D is a whole new dimension “for the industry”.
Guerrilla Games then stepped onto the stage to demo two sections of the single player version of Killzone 3 in 3D, asking the attendance to put on their 3D glasses and experience the game’s amazing visuals firsthand.
I have to be honest, it looked incredible – way above and beyond what we’ve seen in Killzone 2 and whilst we’ve seen the jetpacks before in screens and the first trailer, to get HD footage of the game which will clearly redefine console graphics was a treat and a half for those suitably equipped.
Anyone doubting Sony would kick off their conference in style were completely wrong.

Think you mean 3d footage, not HD footage!

I’d rather they make the graphics insane Instead of being 3D. If they can do both….then…cool.

It’ll have both, insane and 3D – and combined no doubt – so no worries there mate ;)

I had some trouble starting the live stream and unfortunately only saw the last bit of Killzone3. But what I saw was amazing :) Hope the full footage is on youtube soon.
