A few weeks ago we revealed that iPhone game ‘Flght Control’ may be heading to PS3 with Move support and today this has been confirmed. ‘Flight Control HD’ will be making its debut in Europe and Asia on September 15th to coincide with the launch of Move.
Players must use skill, judgement and generous amounts of pointing to guide aircraft to their landing zones, preferably avoiding any mid-air collisions. As we all know, mid-air collisions can really put a downer on your trip to Magaluf.
The game ‘comes very highly recommended’ by Alex and you can read his full review over on Apptilt. Those of you who want to slob about on the couch rather than flail your arms in the air like a panicked squid will find that Flight Control HD will support standard PS3 Dualshock controllers.

This lends itself well to how we get around the lack of touch-screen on the likes of the iPhone and iPad and how we can get the killer-games from their platform onto ours. Move has been proving to be very accurate and the likes of PvZ, Flight Control, Galactica, iBomber, etc, lends a lot of weight to having a whole new influx of great minis.

I dunno, the Move is gonna have to be hella accurate if they’re wanting to make the game as difficult as the iPhone version. I mean, sure, the Move seems impressive and everything but I can’t see them not having to tone the game down a lot.
On a side note, I didn’t read the article title correctly at first and thought someone was making a flight sim for the Move. Kinda disappointed now, that would’ve been pretty cool.

The original iPhone is running on a small screen with our fingers and thumbs being only so accurate. This could be 1080p with 1:1 accuracy. I think it has real potential.
Also, PvZ is what I’m quietly hoping for (esp. with Move). :-)
ttuna
I hope the xbox version of PvZ gets ported to the ps3 with move support. Think the controller would definately work better.
CrawFail
I hope they’re going to be charging iphone game prices for these ports. I will not be happy if they’re on the store for like £7.
Charmed_Fanatic
Same, or £1 dearer for there trouble, £7 is way tooo much
Tuffcub
To be fair it’s going to need some significant recoding for Move, plus all the graphics have to be redone for HD. It’s not going to be 59p.
Uhyve
I mean, they did it for the iPad, so maybe they’ll be fair and charge us iPad prices (£2.99). If they had a bit of forethought, maybe they even created high res assets when they were making the iPad version, then scaled em down to what they needed, so they wouldn’t have to do the job twice.

I agree with you but regret that this will be wishful thinking.
Here’s hoping I’m wrong, though.
bunimomike
Agreed. Let’s look at the most popular paid-for game on the iPhone – Angry Birds. It’s 59 pence! I would be happy to pay up to £5 for that game on the PS3 with Move support (HD visuals a must). More than that, and I’d have trouble justifying it.

Flight Control is so addictive. The only thing i wish they’d add is a challenge mode or something similar, for example land a certain number of planes etc. Would add more to it than just beat your highscore.

If it has trophies and its cheap… it will sell fast!

I’d like to point out you wrote ‘Flght’

I dont have an Iphone but I have this game on my Android phone its brilliant (and free!)
bunimomike
It’s one of the clones or the Java version, I’m guessing.
