Just ahead of their Gamescom conference, EA have posted the first gameplay trailer of FIFA 11 on their Facebook page.
The trailer shows off all the new tweaks and improvements for the latest entry into the franchise, which handily they’ve bullet pointed in the trailer below. If you want to see what else EA has in store, you can catch a live feed of their Gamescom keynote here, 3pm [UK time] or of course ThesixthAxis will bring you the news as it happens for those who can’t access video, in case the boss sees.

i’m really looking forward to the pro passing and personality +. Watching behind the scenes stuff shows how much they have put into it, it looks amazing. PES has officially died to me.

Spot on there Bilbo, PES died a few years ago when they tried and failed to go multi-platform on the new gen consoles. Unfortunately they now seem to be playing catch-up and are 2 or 3 years behind FIFA in pretty much every department. Heck, even the management/career option sounds like it’s been given a complete overhaul to beat PES’s Master League.

yea all does seem re-worked. im liking the idea of having human goal keepers for BAP, should help stop the online mode turning to cricket scores with all the cack ai keeping

Who is more hideous? Ozil or Rooney?

looking good, the personanlity stuff is good but if its going to come up on the player it kinda riuns it in my opinion. but still looks the same as fifa 10 and the catch phrase is rubbish ‘we are 11′ no im 16 actually

Yeah, sorry about that. It’s a proprietary flash player, will grab a normal one as soon as there is one, YouTube or something

the pes online beta is pretty awesome this year, however ill still end up buying both on ps3 simply because they are both completely differnet games, fifa’s animations, tackling, online and ease of play are more superior, however pes has the individuality of players spot on, it’s master league is addictive and the shooting mechanics are brill, the graphics and gameplay are more robust.
end of the day its about personal taste/preference, they are both good games

Think im gonna need to try the full game to find out if they’ve actually made a decent game this year.
Last year they promised A.I players would do skill moves and in the demo Messi and Ibrahimovic did occasionally do a skill move and score a spectacular goal but when the full game came out there were no A.I skill moves to be seen thus making playing against skillful players exactly like playing against emile heskey or another crap player (just run and outmuscle you occasionally) and ZERO creativity.world cup was a step in the right direction but still poor imo.
The ball movement in this video looks like that of the plastic balls you buy from the newsagent from a net bag for 50p.
Hope to proven wrong as i love football games and want Fifa and Pes to be good but both have been a huge let down if you actually enjoy beautiful football mixed with physicality(spelling).
It seems fifa has the physical aspect locked down and Pes has the the creativity but i want both games to incorporate both aspects and make it work.

Ahh, nothing better than seeing Giorgio Chiellini bossing players and flinging them to the ground.
On a serious note it is looking good and I just hope they’ve sorted out the online servers, the online quitters and the shambolic manager mode. If FIFA had PES’s graphics and their Master League that would really be something special. Wish I got into the PES 11 Beta so could see how much catch-up Konami had to do…
Oh well, roll on October 1st
