PSN Store Update: 15/09/10

Whoo, it’s a busy week in the world of video games. On Tuesday, Microsoft managed a global launch of their poster-child for sci-fi shooters, Halo: Reach. Now Sony are launching a whole new range of hardware, Move, in Europe today (it sadly won’t be in UK retail stores until Friday but if you ordered online it might arrive today!).

So this week’s PlayStation Store update is a crazy one, without retailers to work around Sony have managed to get a bucketload of Move-supporting software out for you to spend your hard earned cash on (or demo).

In addition to all the Move madness there are demos for Pro Evolution Soccer (for those without PS+) and FIFA 11 which are sure to reignite the old arguments about which is the better football/soccer game. It’s FIFA, by the way.

So, what are you getting this week?

  1. does anybody know the release time of pes 2011 demo,i now it s going to be today(15 sep)but when

  2. Anyone know if the Monkey Island games supports move?

    • No, it doesn’t but it would be cool in some way

  3. Already downloading the demos, and Im tempted by Flight Control. I love the App verson, but I don’t know how good it is without Move.

    • Just been playing Flight Control without move and it is easy as my 8 year old daughter loves it, all you have to do is click on the plane you want and hold x down and move analogue stick to draw you flight path to runway…i guess it might be better with move but wont be able to check till friday when i get mine from hmv.

      • Great to know it works so well with the dualshock controller although I reckon the Move option is a match made in heaven.

  4. Great update! Why can’t they put some decent avatars up? They’re easy to make and i’d love some Borderlands avatars and maybe KZ2 etc

  5. Damn, looks like I should be getting a bigger HDD for my ps3. I’m having troubles with all the move demo’s.
I was even getting the notice: “You need to free up 3MB op storage space before you can play this game.” Or something like that.

  6. What is wrong with people. Why can’t anyone spell it ‘racquet’ anymore?!

  7. The best £7.99 I’ve ever spent is Space Invaders Infinity Gene

You owe it to yourself to at least check out the demo, but I can assure you the game is even better… I’ll have a ‘First Level’ feature going live over the weekend, but until then – play the demo

    • I’m looking forward to that. I’ve picked up the demo, and, to be completely honest, I’m struggling to understand the game’s approach. Maybe I’m missing some subtle and very clever trick, but all I’m seeing is a 2D shoot ’em up with a developing protagonist theme. This isn’t an insult at all to the game: I’ve seen your forum post, and I respect your opinions, but I’m really struggling to see what makes this game worth my hard(ish)-earned money. As I say, I’m intrigued to see how your First Level feature expands upon my experience of the game.

      • If you like this and aren’t particularly driven by trophies, might I recommend an early game called Riff: Everyday Shooter? It’s very cool but a pretty primitive shooter by todays standards.
