34Zipper Interactive has announced that MAG patch 2.0 will be arriving in less than a month. They had the following to say:
“We’re calling it “MAG 2.0″ for a reason and it’s because of the sheer number of fantastic new additions, including:
- PlayStation Move support
- An increased level cap that goes to level 70
- A revamped Skill Tree that allows for the deepest character customization and specialization ever found in a first-person shooter
- A brand-new in-game economy that lets you earn credits to spend on weapons and items from the also-new “Supply Depot”
- Our useful “Clan Deploy” feature that enables clan leaders and officers to queue up to 128 of their fellow clan members into a single game
- A “MAG News” page that brings players up to date on all the latest happenings the moment they log in
- A multitude of updates that refine existing weapons, maps, and vehicles
- Important bug fixes and other enhancements that streamline the overall experience
We’ll have specifics as to what else is in the MAG 2.0 patch as we near its release. Oh, and before we go, don’t forget to keep an eye out for additional news in the near future regarding our next DLC pack, which includes our upcoming Escalation game-type and nine all-new weapons.”
Say what you will about MAG, but the game has seen extensive tweaking in answer to criticisms from the fans. It’s great to see a game get this type of post release support.

Been trying these out in the latest beta and it all looks pretty good. Gonna give it a blast with Move at some point this weekend.
I totally agree with Dan that the amount of support has been brilliant and am sure it will continue on at least until they launch SOCOM4 next year.

Perhaps it is about time to get MAG :P
Many times I held it in my hands and than decided to put it away and go for a different game. Somehow the game does sound interesting, but I don’t have loads of time to spend on all games and MAG sounds time-consuming to levelup and sorts.
Anyone got the ultimate one-liner to get me to buy MAG?

yh, i think itz perhaps time-consumin coz da matches are quite long, bout 20min, but dat should be like 3 matches or 6 matches a day for me, dunno bout u, but i think itz great

i played the new mode yesturday and tried my best to play with my move controller, unfortunately i epic failed and didnt seem capable of holding the gun steady, just out of interest is anybody from tsa going to re-review any of the titles that have been patched with move support

its all well and good raising the cap to 70 but does that mean they will update the trophys to hit 70 for each faction instead?? cos im still working my way round a 2nd time and wanna do a third also but the extra ten levels is a bit strange.

im in da TSA clan for UC2, i nvr played on lbp tsa’s clan, coz it waz nvr competitive (datz wat i think), coz we’re alwayz playin in a team.
but in lbp 2, there’s gonna be competition, so if i get lbp 2 (which i most likely will), i’ll join da tsa clan for dat
