News circulating this morning that LittleBigPlanet 2 has been delayed into 2011 has been classed as “rumour and speculation” by Sony.
First appearing on French site PS3Gen, who cite an ‘internal source’, the news that the game wouldn’t meet its Mid-November release date have been quickly sidestepped by SCEE, saying only that they “won’t comment on rumour or speculation.”
Sony’s comment is the usual flat out conversation stopper, neither confirming or denying the rumours, only accepting that they exist. Frankly, any game going up against the likes of Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5 needs to be 100% confident in its ability to sell, and a 2011 window does make a little more sense.
LittleBigPlanet 2 recently opens its doors, so to speak, to a fairly limited beta, which we covered here.

If this is true ill be devastated as this is the only game I’m looking forward to this year.If its delayed ill probz buy Black Ops if ill like it.God damn you SONY.

I would say it’s a smart move clearing out of any near-COD release window, and less games coming out this autumn is welcome in my eyes as I see too many I’m getting already, but early 2011 is especially packed with huge PS3 games, so it’ll be equally buried there.

I would rather they delay it than release a half-working game. Besides, Im sure games like F1 2010, GT5, Black Ops and AC:Brotherhood will keep me going for a while! :)

there is not alot of choice for me this christmas, i honestly dont know what i will get. i fully agree about previus statements about COD, i dont find it that entertaining as what people make it out to be,in my opinion COD(all the ones on next gen consoles) and Halo are the 2 most overrated games franchises to date.
