We’ve been moaning about a new SSX game since the last, so it’s with great delight that someone has picked up some new domains, registered by EA, that clearly point to a brand new SSX title.
I adored the SSX games, especially the first two, but feel EA lost their way once they decided to focus on a single mountain rather than individual levels, losing some of the identity and addictive score-based challenges in the process.
Here’s the list of newly registered domains:
We’re thinking First Descent is the best of the bunch, and with rumours circulating that Criterion are involved, hopes are high that this is a return to form.

SSX3 is one of my fave games ever, hopefully they’ll be able to nail it again!
Hopefully. If this is a new and if it’s half as good as SSX3 was then this will go down a storm with the SSX fans.

Cool! I loved SSX! Especially the third one. I liked the open world style of the whole mountain. I thought they’d lost their way a bit with ‘On Tour’ though…

This could be the game I did a survey on. It was a snowboarding game.
It talked about multiple real mountains taken from Google Maps, an Autolog type feature and some different approaches to gameplay.
Sounds about right.
If it is that one and it has all the things they were asking about it should be a very good game.
