It’s the new year, and it’s time for Sony to get the Store updates rolling again. A highlight today should have been the console release of Angry Birds, the omnipresent iPhone (and now Android, etc.) puzzler that has proven to be a hugely popular title and remains so many months after its release, but it was apparently removed this morning from the update…
There’s enough left, though, so feast your eyes on what’s coming to your PlayStation 3 and PSP later today, including EA’s Microbot, Uno at the ridiculous price of 79p and a slightly too expensive Borderlands…

Damn no Angry Birds to add to a few annoyances with the EU PSN recently *cough*auditorium hd*cough*free MAG for PS+*cough*
also, best not to mention PSN pricing of Borderlands in comparison to the £9.99 it is in the real world

however, MAG is £19.99 which is actually better than all my local stores

Not quite as good as free like the US, albeit with a level 8 cap

yeah i know :( i really want MAG as well but cba spending £20 on it, why dont they just give the EU the same as the US or vice versa

You can pick up MAG online for a tenner now (from PC world, and maybe some other places).
A cap at level 8? I’d find that pretty annoying to be honest, you’d never get to any of the leadership roles…

I’d be intrigued to know whether or not the amount of copies of Prototype sold on PSN amounts to more than 5.

I’d be intrigued if they sold 1
Of course SCEE don’t set the prices of 3rd party stuff, but it is their store so they’re responsible for what goes in it & surely they offer guidance & advice

They did advice Activision to lower the price, but no luck.

Just check how much ratings it got

Ratings are nothing to go back since PS+ members who picked up the 1 hour trial can rate it.

Everyone does not have the same price as UK you no.If it’s the GOTY version than it’s a good price actually. Here in Sweden the cheapest price for borderlands GOTY is 33euro=£28 and that’s if you buy it on internet. The cheapest price in a shop is 41euro=£35

okey i got an answear and it was no the GOTY version so it’s a rip-off price.

Zavvi has Borderlands for £15.95, the GOTY for £17.95.
I’d love to meet the idiots that set those PSN prices.
“S that’s no case, no Blu Ray, no booklet, no shipping costs,… Hmm, let’s make it 8 pound more expensive than the retail price.”

£9.99 at Play & GotY is £17.91 at Asda online (thanks InvisibleHand browser extension)
Also, in addition to the things you said, no resale value

Not really seeing much I’m keen on this week, probably just as well given my massive backlog and pre-Christmas store splurge.

I read on their website that the free pack will allow you to get one of the first band trophies .
Also, those are some (all?) of the tracks that were left off the disc exports.

They’re the tracks by Harmonix bands which were on RB2 but didn’t come with the export. Unfortunately the other tracks are still lost (Journey, Metallica, Soundgarden etc.)
Still, Wings!
Johnny Cash pack with no Ring of Fire is ridiculous though, might pick up Walk The Line :)

Damn it, I was hoping there would be a bundle of Borderlands and it’s DLC. I guess I’ll have to buy the GotY.

Oh dear. I saw that the US got Angry Birds yesterday, and told my Missus that it will be available today for us…how I was wrong – She won’t be happy now! Cheers Sony Europe!

If you get Diddy’s “Bad Boy” for Rapstar, do you have to match Diddy’s performance to score the most, or do you have to go the other way and show some skills?

Not a lot for me, apart from the Kung Fu Live demo. Hopefully there will be a few goodies on PS+.

I’m the same as you, glad you pointed out the Kung Fu Live demo as I managed to miss it!
