SCEI have announced a new Silver Satin PS3 set for release in Japan on March 10th. She’s a fetching lady, with a sleek, space-age finish and the ability to ensnare (non-sparkly) vampires.
Two models are on offer – a 160GB beauty retailing at ¥29,980 (about $366/€267/£227) and its bulkier 320GB counterpart, which will cost you (if you’re Japanese) ¥34,980 (about $427/€311/£265). Everything else remains the same – it’s just a different colour – but you like colours, right?
No word if this silver surfer will ever migrate overseas.

IMO Looks very cheap and tacky, just like the ps2 slim silver versions. I like my (now matt) black beauty
Yep, totally agree. Frankly it would look less cheap and tacky if it was painted in Burberry.
I am of the same opinion as you guys – Although it could look pretty swish under a TV that was also the same tacky silver! :)
LOL burberry! that would look better than silver. I would love them to release the white one again like they did for FF13.
I would love to customise PS3 with DeadSpace on it. Just like you can with 360 front plate. I know there’s a resident Evil but Dead Space is dark in space with Issac destorying the necromorphs limbs xD
That would be pretty sweet, at a glance I thought that Alienware PC case on the PC games story was a Dead Space mod.
They should really mass produce the blue ps3 that came with the GT5 bundle

Mine is hidden so I don’t hear any fans, disc drives etc, so it could be bright pink for all I care!
We bought a 40Gb fat for my father in law over Christmas and he has drilled a hole through into his kitchen so he can keep his PS3 in there to prevent the noise!
Am I the only one who doesnt hear anything from my PS3?

I prefer the black one, although I would like a piano black one like the original PS3. The matt one just doesn’t do it for me! It doesn’t go with my PSP!
Loved my 60GB – Love by Matt 320GB even more. Silver – n’ah. Would trade in for a White Slim in a heart beat though….
I covered my old PS in wood effect sticky back plastic, it looked very sophisticated!
I’m quite happy with my current PS3 thanks.
