Think these are both preorder bonusses. Exiled Prince comes with the “Signature” edition and think the Black Emporium is for “original purchasers” according to the bioware site.o

DLC out at the same time as the game is a rip-off. DLC out more than a week before the actual game is just barefaced cheek!

I prefer “Try before you buy” demo’s not a “Lets get more sales” demo.
Also *tumbleweed*

Aren’t all demos both “try before you buy” and “let’s get more sales” demos? I mean, nobody’s going to download a demo for a game they’ve already bought, and if they do like the demo, and buy the game, isn’t that getting more sales?

About 6 demos got uploaded to the US Store last night
Played the BlOps demo earlier, confirmed my realisation I made a mistake a trading it a couple of weeks ago – Gonna pick it up again this weekend.
Top Spin 4, was looking forward to this as its Move compatible – Sadly found it damn near unplayable, you still have to use the L Stick of the DS3/Navi to aim and you just use the Move controller as a Waggle device… was a damn good demo with just the DS3 though
Marvel Pinball was a slice of awesome
MLB2KL11… for some reason I prefer this series to Sony’s MLB The Show
Alien Breed 3 – Seems a bit rinse & repeat of the previous 2
Head on over there seeing as the publishers couldn’t be arsed with the EU store
Oh, and disappointingly still no Auditorium HD – My Move sticks want some action.
Other than that – Good update :|

The EU side of SCEE are slacking in every single way. Everyone in the EU should just get a US account. Their content is so much better.

The SCEE guys are more than capable of defending themselves but I just want to mention something obvious.
SCEA has one language and one set of legal hoops to jump through to get content up on their Store.
SCEE have MULTIPLE languages and MULTIPLE countries’ legalities to contend with. It’s not comparable.
You live in Europe and hence have to contend with the fact that SCEE is a pan-European company as opposed to a UK one. If you are from the UK, trust me, you’re doing a lot better than most of the other smaller European countries that exist on the periphery. A lot of publishers decide to not even release content in some of the smaller markets. At all. Ever.

Speaking of which, last week you announced the LEGO Clone Wars demo for the EU store update, but that’s still not on the store here in Norway. I think it’s weird that there’s a difference in content between countries within Europe.
I hope PJS2 comes up tonight, though…

Well, I didn’t announce anything but I think I know what you mean.
“I think it’s weird that there’s a difference in content between countries within Europe.”
I don’t see why you’re surprised there is missing content on a regional Store. As mentioned already, there are multiple Stores, multiple clearance policies, and publishers can choose not to give your Store content. I’m surprised there aren’t bigger discrepancies if I’m being entirely honest.

My comment is a dig at the publishers who have obviously given EU short change this week (and quite a few other weeks)
Although it is Sony’s framework that the publishers have to abide by & if there is extra hoops to jump through that Microsoft seem to cope better with then Sony need to keep revisiting their framework to streamline it as much as possible to make it easy for people to business with them.
When they think they’ve removed all barriers & streamlined it as much as they can, they need to revisit it again and streamline it some more.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying Sony are completely innocent in this. Microsoft are capable of publishing across multiple regions easily. Of course, Sony have always had quite the silo mentality. They’re getting better but there’s still a ways to go.

After four years you would expect that some progress towards improving the process of clearance across multiple countries would have been made, but from the consumer end it’s not apparent if anything’s been done and if it has, then to be quite frank it’s not enough. Whether it’s Sony or another party at fault, the slow process can only result in less sales and less money being made, which beggars belief in this economy.

I reckon i might have to pick up PJ Shooter 2 today – I was cautious about the first one (as i am a scrooge & don’t like to spend too much), but my caution was misplaced as the first one is nothing but pure awesomesauce & absolutely warranted it’s price. I now have the confidence that the second one will be just as good, if not better.
Is there online co-op this time around?

No online co-op, but there is online versus. You might want to checkout this EU PS Blog article.

Quite keen to try the Black Ops demo. I’m deliberately late to the Call of Duty party this time; wasn’t overly fond of MW2 despite high review scores, (much preferred the World at War), so I’m suspicious of the scores that Black Ops has received – maybe I’m just not a “COD person”. Go on, Black Ops. Impress me. I dare you.

Finally got to play the demo last night and it was surprisingly good. I had hoped I wouldn’t care so much, and thus not have to buy it, but it looks like now I do. Still didn’t have a bloody clue what was going on, but it was all very pretty :)
