12 Minutes Of Batman: Arkham City Gameplay

Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new video for Arkham City with 12 minutes of gameplay footage. If this doesn’t get you excited for the game, nothing will.

The 12 minute video doesn’t just show Catwoman and Batman beating up a bunch thugs, which honestly looks largely unchanged. We also get to see the scope of Arkham City as The Dark Knight glides around and creeps up on unsuspecting criminals. It’s very impressive.

  1. Looks brilliant. cant wait to play it!

    • same as you mate roll on October.

  2. i found the combat to be a button basher in the last game.

    • its all about timing to make it fluid. when you get it right, its immense.

      • I agree, when you get it to work right, its damn good, and a much better combat system than a game like Assassins Creed, which I find is slow and dull (in my opinion). It’s much more fast paced in Batman.

  3. That looks maaaaassssiiiiiive. The scale of the city would appear to be quite staggering!

  4. I was originally going to complain, being the cynicist that I am, but the developers have made this so well that it looks and sounds so much better than (pretty much) any comic book movie. I love the environmental detail and the contrast in it.

  5. Wow! That looks like one stunner of a game. I’ll definitely be getting it.

  6. Nice now you can catch stuff the enemies throw at you can’t wait to get this

  7. Holy crap that looks so good. Took me a while to get around to the first one, it won’t take so long to get this!

  8. It looks like a fun game. I may wait untill the demo comes out as i am still unsure about this. I don’t like the voice that Batman has in this game. It sounds unnatural for him. Apart from that it looks like a great game.

    • Kevin Conroy has done Bats’ voice for years. To me he *is* Batman.

      • I am used to hearing the deeper and gruffer version of the Batman. I have just watched the intro of Arkam Ayslum and i think the Batman in that one does have a deeper voice then this one. I suppose i would get used to hearing this batman.

      • It’s the same voice in both games and i think too that Kevin Conroy is the real voice of Bats

      • My work mate just said the exact same thing, Conroy is consistently voted the best voice actor for Batman over the years.

  9. First one was addictive, i can’t wait to play this one *You expect me to kiss* Catwoman FTW.

  10. Looks great. I have the first one sitting on my shelf waiting to be played.
