According to a recent BBFC listing, Relic Entertainment’s upcoming third person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, will launch with a 15 rating here in the UK. The listing also revealed that the September title features over an hour and a half of cut-scenes, weighing in at 103 minutes and 17 seconds in total. Anyone who has ever been a fan of the sci-fi strategy game will know there are dozens of novels and even comics based on Games Workshop’s grim depiction of futuristic warfare.
Relic has mentioned time and time again that Space Marine has a firm narrative core, and now we know they aren’t messing about. Be sure to check out our interview with game director Raphael van Lierop.

the game is looking cool.
sounds like there’s a serious plot in there if it needs that much cutscene time.
it would be nice to see an rpg from this tabletop rpg property.
but at least it looks like they’ve done a far better job than fasa did with shadowrun.
if this does well hopefully somebody will bring us a 40k rpg.

A Warhammer Fantasy RPG would be incredible, and due to the MMO’s success, I think that will be next on the cards in terms of gaming.

Well that’s fine, especially if they’re all standard length and the campaign is awesomely long, maybe.. hope there isn’t just a couple of half hour ones.
It annoys me when people say “look how much we have, isn’t it amazing” Its like when an RPG comes out and says they have over 100 novels of dialogue. There is a lot, but it could all be crap.
