Today is the day that everyone gets their hands on the Uncharted 3 beta. We’ve given you our impressions and we’ve got some even more detailed examinations on the way but after today you’ll all be able to see for yourselves.
In addition to that big helping of Drake, there are a few full games going up in the shape of Spelunker HD, Alien Zombie Mega Death, G.R.A.W. 2 and Sega Rally Online Arcade.
Finally, in among the usual discounts, track packs and micro-transaction fodder – there is a trial and unlock for Eat Them!
Please try not to laugh at that ridiculous Red Faction: Armageddon price too hard, we don’t want to be responsible for your hernias.

Which brings me to the question, why are you reading TSA whilst driving…?

I know – seems like THQ don’t want you to buy it! Pricing it that high (almost 3 times what you can buy it for in the shops) is an absolute joke.
Think i may apply for the job of pricing analyst at THQ as they obviously don’t have one!

Its madness!

I guess it proves one thing that some people were willing to pay £50 for the other digital releases so they’re seeing how far they can push it.

Red Faction: Armageddon £57.99 assuming that’s not a typo that the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while
It must have been embarrassing having to type that in

It’ll be more embarrassing for the lone idiot that buys it at that price.

If I were rich, I’d buy it just because I could.

For anyone who wants it, go to Amazon. They’re currently doing it for £22.99 (as mentioned below). I’d like to try a demo out but am worried THQ will charge me ten pounds for that!

There’s definitely a demo on the US network if you have access to that, I’m unsure about the UK store.

GAME are charging £22.99 for it in-store
Loving their weekly sales at the minute, they get a lot of stick for being dearer than online, but their weekly deals have been good for ages. Picked up MS:A (£22.99) & GT5 (£27.99) on Friday, same price as the best online deals & will end up with 2.5% back on reward card.

I agree – I pop in every now & again to see what they have on & recently got Crysis 2 & Motorstorm at similar rates, again, made all the more worthwhile by the points on the reward card.
Perhaps they have actually realised that they need to compete with the online market if they want to stay afloat?

I think the CoD releases were that much in Germany. We didn’t have the kind of price war like the guys in UK. Thank god I’m not into those games. The prices are ridiculous.
As for Red Faction: As a fan of the series I quite enjoyed both PS3 releases (Guerilla more than Armageddon). Guerilla is still one of my favorite games on the PS3 and I’d happily shell out the full price for it again but I wouldn’t pay 70€ for Armageddon if I had to.

Someone, somewhere deep inside Sony towers really needs to look at how much games actually sell for for a physical product! First the daft infamous2 price & now this!!
For me to buy a download copy of a retail game, it needs to be £10 cheaper than the rrp.
Maybe I’m not living in the real world anymore but I’m sure as hell not gonna get ripped off. :(

Totally agree with you, they say that in years to come download only games are the way forward do they think by setting prices this high is going to get people on that bandwagon.

THQ have set the price, not Sony.

THQ set the price, as they are the publisher, not Sony.
