PSN Store Update: 24/08/11

[advert]We’ve seen a couple of really strong PSN Store updates recently and this week looks like another decent collection of content for you to buy, try and augment your existing games collection with.

Backbreaker: Vengeance launches just before Madden’s release and offers a more casual approach to the gridiron than EA’s monster franchise or even the original Backbreaker game.

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition arrives, kicking off the releases for Sony’s PLAY promotion. We reviewed it earlier this week and as well as having the longest title in recent memory, it’s a cracking game for fighting fans. There’s a demo too, so you can at least give it a try.

There’s add-on content for Brink which adds customisation options including options to make your guy look like he’s in Fallout. Dragon Age II also gets another phase of DLC, with armour, weapons and items for Hawke.

Also up, is the Space Marines demo. This went live for Gold users on Xbox Live yesterday and has had nothing but positive feedback from what I’ve seen so it’s definitely worth the 1.25GB download, if your ISP allows.

Finally, Hamilton’s Great Adventure from FatShark brings adventure puzzling to the PSN with an “Indiana Jones” feel.

Seems like another strong update. So, what are you getting?

  1. MSA things and a demo or two. Saving my store credit for Plus Subscription renewal. Only 20 quid to go now.

  2. Been looking forward to the spacemarine game so I will give the demo a go.

  3. warhammer demo is worth cheking out, and maybe a few trials of the new psn games.

  4. I’ve got Hamiltons Adventure on steam and the crazy machine games too which I love. Elements seems different but I wonder if Hamilton is the same game or if there are any changes. Its why I didnt get Puzzle Dimension for PS3 and I had no idea they were coming to PSN. Silly me

  5. Baseball Stars 2! I played this back in the day (and on an emulator since). It’s a brilliant game.

  6. The Brink DLC that has just gone on is such a con!
I got the Spec-Ops and Doom packs when I pre-ordered the game, but in order to get the other two I have to buy those two packs again because of the way they have paired them. SCAM! They should either be paired the other way round so you only have to buy 1 pack if you got the other two, or individually so you can choose.
    Not happy …

    • I’m in same boat, but visual characteristics are barely noticeable (poor)ingame, so i’m not too fussed.

      • i know but i like the customisation options, just adds a bit more fun, but then they go be annoying and do this lol

  7. Warhammer demo only for me this week.
